Cocktails for coffee spiced rum?

For Christmas, I received a bottle of Kraken Black Spiced Rum Coffee Roast which is, as it sounds, spiced rum mixed with coffee.
I've tried it over ice and found it a bit too bitter for my taste so I would like to find some relatively simple cocktails that would help take the bitter edge off.
Currently, all I can think of is adding vanilla ice cream to offset the bitterness and make a coffee rum affogato (I'm aware it's not a cocktail) buy don't have any ice cream to try it with.
