Wet on Wellington - as a single female

Just got in from my first night ever out at an event, Wet on Wellington Monday night couples party.

I'm going to leave the play stuff out because that's specific to you and who you run into on the night.... I'll just post the review I wish I'd been able to find that would have made me feel safe to turn up alone.

I arrived and there was a short line, took 15 minutes... only 1 guy out the front trying to pay for a woman to get in so he would get in, watched venue staff tell him to leave and that he wasn't getting in that night or any night at any of their venues. Straight away I felt I could trust that if I got in and needed help I could ask the staff. Instead I joined a social chat with the couple in front of me in the line... Nice to have a hey and go you for getting here alone chat without pickup vibes to calm me

Got to the counter, had ID scanned and paid cash to enter, given a key to a locker and pointed in the right direction. Towel provided was clean, also larger towels exist if you need one ask the staff, I saw someone collect one for a friend.

I'm 40 and I think most of the crowd were younger than me. I heard staff say 350 people in the venue.

I was approached once during play to ask if I could be touched, said a body part they could touch and got a polite sad reply and compliance straight away, kind of flattering they were sad if I'm honest.

The available spaces for play upstairs had lots of variety which gave me a chance to start small and work my way up, the spaces felt pretty clean to me, only ran my hand accidentally along a wall once in a spot I wish I hadn't touched!

Heaps of condoms upstairs and lube in wall dispensers, the toilet I used was clean, water pressure in the showers wasn't great, and they were on the chilly side, but it was enough for a post sauna cool down and to freshen up when needed.

There was a water fountain near the lockers if lining up at the bar isn't your style.

I really liked that the upstairs rooms had high partition walls, but open tops, all lockable with toilet cubicle style locks... I had been unsure about this part of play and hadn't found advice online, didn't feel locked in at all or like the room was too small... but also ended up playing with the door open

This night only has 5 single men allowed in and the ratio definitely seemed even, noting that there were many people I would not assume the gender of

I heard announcements when there were 2 hours until close and 1 hour until close, so if you need to watch a clock but get distracted they have your back

Overall I had a really great night, it's not as scary as I thought it might be and it was definitely as much fun as I'd hoped.

Please don't take this post as an invitation to try to get me to be your female date next time so you can get entry, this post was intended to help people decide if going to Wet as a single was for them or not

Good comprehensive post. That was the busiest I've ever seen it. There's pluses and minuses with that. Ie lots of people to potentially play with, but less spaces available to play sometimes.

I'm glad you had fun. My partner had her first time there, and similarly felt comfortable with how the night was managed. She felt reassured that there was staff checking upstairs for single men and whether they were up there with a partner or not. The wrist band system for the single guys worked well.

We'll be back, and as newbies will have a little more confidence going, but probably would want to go on a slightly less busy night.
