I want to replace my 8 year old Sealy Posturepedic firm mattress. It is doing OK but is starting to show its age. I went to Mattress Firm and the best one I liked was Stearns and Foster Estate 14.5 Firm. It is firm but also soft enough with good edge support. Don't ask me why I sleep close to the edge on a king size bed! I am 6'2" and 250lbs and single (for now). I also want to switch to Cal King mattress and bed frame. After coming back home, I noticed that there is Estate and Lux Estate. What is the difference? In Lux Estate, I think I need to select pillow top if I want the firm option. I can ask my local Mattress Firm if they have this in stock to try. The second question is where to buy. My friends are super unhappy with Mattress Firm's trial policy but this was like 10 years ago. I got my Sealy from Sleeptrain when they were still around. I want to have the option of excahnge/return without jumping through hoops if I don't like the mattress. I bought the Mattress Firm adjustable bed 900 in 2021 and don't like the quality at all. The legs are unstable and the bed is wobbly. So I haven't had a good experience with Mattress Firm myself either. But S and H is not a Mattress Firm branded product and so... Any advice is most welcome.
