Anybody else share this view that of all the things that are enjoyable about being with someone, that initial 12 month period where you can’t keep your hands and mouths off each other? That’s….pretty goddamn awesome and some of the best there is? Long “make out” sessions to borrow from the US - there’s not much that tops it. Yes, sex is fantastic but so is kissing and that’s a hill I’d be willing to die on.
How do you cope when you’re in a LTR or a marriage and you just stop doing this with your spouse? Are you supposed to just accept it?
I’m finding it hard to. I’m a little romantic (and no, this isn’t a humblebrag) and I get off on touch and kissing and little gestures of appreciation and when you’ve got busy lives, jobs, a family - I can see why the above starts to get forgotten.
Anyone else feel this way? Things aren’t bad enough to leave the relationship but you just miss certain bits that you can tell aren’t coming back anytime soon?
