Hot take: Reading should come from a place of humility.
If you don't understand something, or don't find a story beat to your liking, your reaction should NEVER be "The author has made a mistake/writes badly/is weak at plot/characters/themes etc."
Try and work out what you've missed or misunderstood first; I see too many of you throwing shade at SE when the rest of your message shows a gross lack of comprehension on your part...
I know it might not seem important, but it's the difference between looking like an intelligent reader and a d*ck.
If on correct appraisal you still feel the same then by all means blast away - I think Sanderson writes bland stories blandly and always will - I'm just asking for some wisened humility. It will make you better readers, honest!
