Fuck it, I may as well get vulnerable here. I'll make a long story short though; I used to have a friend circle from high school, but they grew too toxic and I left it about 7 years ago. My best friend turned his back on me and refuses to tell me why (though we suspect his controlling wife made him remove some friends she didn't like for whatever reason). I've got a handful of friends left, but I'm really missing that best friend/close friend group vibe, and I'm deeply craving some socialization, especially with Covid, and social media in general, making it pretty difficult to make good friends.

So... I’m hoping to find some new local friends and/or a circle to join. I want to find people who like to get together often (biweekly-ish?), regardless of what we do, just being in good company is enough 😊. I want to make friends who like me for me, good and bad, and allow me to be myself. So, let me tell you a little about my interests and who I am as a person.

A little about me (you definitely don't need to be into all of the same stuff):

• 32/South Philly. I work from home as an Accountant, nothing special lol.
• 420/shroom friendly. Not a big drinker, but I'll have a beer or two.
• I am down for most things in the right company; I typically like being in groups of 3-8. I love stuff like mini golf, go karts, darts, pool, & paintball (also cool with making small wagers for fun :p)
• Music: Indie/Alternative core, but I dabble in a little of everything and always looking to expand. Concerts? Yes! I also love Stand Up Comedy, and will go to Comedy shows as well!
• TV/Movies: I'm drawn to Psychological, Thriller, Comedy, Animation & Documentaries.
• Anime/Gaming: While I love both, they are not my personality. There's just something about anime thats so much more interesting to watch than live action stuff. As for gaming, I'm on Sony/Nintendo consoles. I stand by the fact that there is a game and an anime for everyone. There's just so many, it would be impossible not to like at least one, and I make great recommendations should you ever be interested.
• I also would like get into board games. I love Cards Against Humanity and have all the cards, no one to play with :(. I also build models and I'm really into science, especially space/nature.
• I love dark humor and understand that Comedy is something made to make you laugh, not be insulting, so I like people with a good sense of humor.
• I'm straightforward as a person. I say it like it is. I think good friends know how to correct each other in a respectful and positive manner.
• I've had a rough childhood and I've used my adult years to move past that and strive to be as realistically positive as I can be.
