Heya! This might be a long post, I hope you'll have the patience to read it!

I'm a 27 year old dude from Florida and I was hoping to find someone cool to talk to, as well, I'm lonely! To make a long story short, I was taken out of school in 2nd grade by a mentally ill parent. Her reasoning: "They were trying to turn you gay." this parent then went on to keep me isolated from all of society, kept me in a room when we had a home, or in the passenger seat of the car when we more often than not, homeless as they couldn't keep down a job.

My sister was 10 years older than me, and also suffered from mental illness. Therefore we never really had a chance to have any sort of relationship due to the age gap.

My other parent split and hasn't really been involved in my life.

Fast forward to today!: I'm 27 and lack a formal education (although I'm close to getting my GED!!) and either this year or the next I plan to go to college to get a degree in social work so I can eventually become a therapist. I love helping people and talking to people, learning what other's have been through. A big reason I'm choosing to pursue this field is that if I can use my firsthand experience of going through abuse to help understand what others have gone through, I can turn the trainwreck of my childhood into something positive! I want to help people so badly!

Anyway, that was a lot of fluff! Thanks for reading! But let's talk about something a little more relevant!: As for the type of friend I'm looking for, I'm hoping to find someone with intelligence, who doesn't mind being goofy! It's funny because I can make crass, dumb jokes, and the next minute be fully invested in a serious conversation!

My main hobbies are gaming and I want to get into working out soon to get into better shape. If you have different hobbies, that's completely okay! I'm always interesting in learning new things and I 'd love to hear about what interests you!
