Hi there! I’m looking for people who are interested in helping me learn Spanish and/or German. I’ve been studying both languages for about two months and need help with real conversational practice for the best retention and practical use.
For now I was hoping we could converse over text and later progress to voice chat once we’re both familiar and comfortable with each other. I estimate my Spanish is almost an A2 on the fluency scale and my German is around an A1. I would like to speak with someone at a higher level than me but all interested people are welcome.
For our conversational practice, we can talk about topics centered around the vocabulary we know and help each other with learning new vocab. We can talk in as much of Spanish or German that we can and if there’s words we don’t know then simply use the English word for it (my native language).
You can be a native speaker or anyone with a grasp of the language. If you’re an advanced speaker I just ask that you have patience with my limited vocabulary, especially German.
I was thinking this could be a short term thing but if we get along well then I don’t mind being long term. I just don’t know where this will take us.
For starters, send me a PM introducing yourself of which language you speak or are learning, an estimated level of your proficiency, and some cool facts about yourself.
It’s a late night for me (about 11pm at the time of this post) so I won’t answer you until sometime Saturday (today is Friday). Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing from you!
