Myself, the amateur astronomy club that I'm in, and several dozen amateur astronomers will be at Acadia National Park for the 11th annual festival of dark skies and stargazing. Don't miss this event. It's great fun for the whole family. This will be my 5th or 6th year going I think. One significant change this year:
- Friday night's star party is no longer at Seawall. I'm told NPS wasn't happy with too many people at the event last year (attendance for this one night has been growing steadily each year). It is now being held at Seal Cove Auto Museum.
Reminder if you are going to Cadillac Mtn for the main star party Saturday night. You need a parking pass, $5.00 per vehicle, to park at MDI high school where you pick up a shuttle bus to the top of Cadillac. Not many parking spots at the high school, so get a ticket now even if you aren't sure if you are going.

Rest of the event's details can be found on their main page. http://www.acadianightskyfestival.org/
Hope to see you there.
