/u/Fresh3001 held a 35cm rainbow stained-glass bong as he posed for a photograph with two recently married male workers at Shosha’s water pipe manufactory in Newmarket, Auckland. “Absolutely fantastic that New Zealand is now a place where two gay, married men can work alongside each other to craft these magnificent, glass… pieces of art,” /u/Fresh3001 opined before he was handed another product.
“This one’s our most expensive piece at $300 - we call it the Titan Ice Bong. 55cm, hand crafted, double honeycomb bong with ice catcher glass. The glass is 5mm thick and it’s got a 10mm thick lip and base. The Titan is made of the highest quality glass we have, with a 4" base diameter, 2" diameter chamber & ribbed neck and no shotty,” the manager explained.
“My god, I can’t say that isn’t impressive. Now, I know Shosha was around before cannabis and cannabis utensils were legalised, but how has legalisation affected business?” /u/Fresh3001 asked in response.
“We’ve seen a massive boost in business, and the company has grown significantly as a result. Shortly we’ll be opening up two more factories - one in Wellington, one in Christchurch,” the manager replied.
“That’s just fantastic, it’s great how a new source of employment has been created out of almost nothing. Well, ACT has a PMB in currently to legalise certain hallucinogenic substances and I’d pick it up as a government bill if ACT were elected. Might be some commercial opportunity there too!”
