Leader of the Opposition /u/Fresh3001 appeared alongside the National Party Leader /u/NinjjaDragon at a BBQ in Victoria Square, Christchurch, to endorse his Te Poti Māori campaign.
“Tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa - welcome all! Thanks for turning up. Now, I know this is a National Party event and you’re more than keen to hear /u/NinjjaDragon speak, but I’m sure that there are more than a few ACT supporters and Nats out there that are interested in what I have to say. To put it bluntly: for ACT supporters and Te Poti Māori constituents which value reliable representation and fiscal responsibility, /u/NinjjaDragon is the only choice. He served Māori well as an electorate MP after the recent by-election, and did great work as the Māori Affairs Shadow Minister. There are no good alternatives either: one lunatic independent with no real policy, a Green Party candidate who represents his party’s irresponsible tax and spend attitude, and the leader of the Māori Party who abandoned his post as Māori Affairs Shadow Minister and can’t be trusted to not do the same thing again. So on election day, Te Poti Māori constituents should give their party vote to ACT and their electorate vote to /u/NinjjaDragon. Thanks all!”
