Chi0121 meets with local tourists and conservationists to talk about the importance of the environment

"Hello everyone! My name is Chi0121, I've came to this beautiful location today to tell you why the Scottish Conservatives are the party for you in the upcoming election!

I'm here today at the Scottish Seabird Centre which does an incredible job at conserving natural birdlife in and around Scotland's coastlines. One of their current projects is to save Puffins who inhabit the islands near North Berwick and has over 1300 volunteers! We in the Scottish Conservatives believe it is imperative we protect our environment which is why I'm sure you will all be pleased to hear that the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency will be receiving a large increase in it's funding in the coming years, some of which will undoubtedly go towards conservation projects such as this across the Scottish isles.

The Scottish Conservatives have always strongly supported local businesses and this government will be no different. We will release £6 billion from the Scottish Consolidated Fund in a mixture of short and long-term, low interest loans for Scottish businesses. These loans will be a welcome injection for Scottish businesses who can use it to advance themselves to the next level and provide even more benefits to the Scottish economy which thrives on small and local businesses. By allowing them to prosper we allow Scotland to prosper.

As we focus on greener strategies and efforts, jobs in the offshore oil sector will begin to dwindle. That is why we are introducing a job retraining scheme to provide financial aid for a training scheme which will allow them to enter into a new sector. If it is successful we'll double the size of the scheme so it can assist even more people in finding new jobs.
