First off I survived a hellish UChicago finals season.

Damien and I are both looking to hire for our teams and decided we'd like to do a combined application this time around so we can pick from a large pool. If you'd like to be a Commons Deputy Speaker or a Deputy Lords' Speaker please modmail your application to r/MhoCQuad. You can specify which house you'd prefer in the application.

On another note /u/tommy2boys will be taking over for /u/thechattyshow as Chairman of Committees. I thank /u/thechattyshow for his service to the speakership.

Additionally thanks to /u/zygark for their time in the speakership as well.

From our lovely Commons Speaker:

/u/TheNoHeart has informed me of their intention to step aside as Chair of Ways and Means and Deputy Speaker post Christmas. I’d like to thank him for taking on the role as an experienced hand within Deputy Speakership over the years and wish him well in whatever lies ahead.

Thus I will also be recruiting a new Deputy Speaker for my team. It won’t be a long commitment, just provided you can commit an hour a week to post Commons business and help check modmail and count division results as well as be a good representative of the community in debate and moderation. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience, all of us don’t at some point in our speakership careers and I’ll be on hand alongside the rest of the team to help you get to grips!

On that note: I’d like to announce /u/Anacornda as our new Chair of Ways and Means once TheNoHeart departs. I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for the past few months and they have taken on a fair bit of organisational workload since they’ve started. I hope they will do well as someone the community can reach out to as a deputy speaker!
