LB116 - Employment Rights Act 1996 (Amendment) (Comprehensibility) Bill
Amend Section 1(1) to read
(1) In section 2 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 at the end, insert–
“(7) An employer must ensure that, as far as reasonably possible, the particulars required by section 1(3) and (4) are comprehensible to the employee.”Insert Section 2 after section 1, and renumber accordingly:"
Explanatory Note: Changes the wording to ensure that it is not the employers effort but the result that counts, as it is in the real world

Section 2 - Interpretation
(1) For the purposes of this act, a particular will be "comprehensible" if it can be read and understood adequately by a person of school leaving age
Explanatory Note: Defines what comprehensible is and sets a reasonable bar for it
