Why do I feel BETTER on my comedowns?

My girlfriend and I both feel incredibly clear headed and calm the days after MDMA and never receive a depression brought on by the drug. Anyone else experience this?
We’re both mentally ill so my theory is it has something to with the chemical Imbalance in our brains. Strangely enough it happens to both of us yet I am on 2 meds (not SSRIs)
