The option to take Monika out for trick or treating has disappeared for me

Hey guys i'm having a problem with the "take Monika out for trick or treat" goodbye option.
So I opened the game this morning and got the Halloween event and all, and when I left for lunch I noticed that the option to take her out for trick or treating was there
However after coming back from lunch, the option has vanished, only the normal "take you somewhere" option remains.
Is it because i closed the game? or maybe a time problem? it's currently 5:30pm where I live already and I've been looking forward to taking her out for trick or treating in the evening.
If anybody can help me out i'd greatly appreciate it!
