Hipline Back lipoma plus bruise
Post Body

Hi, has anyone has had a bruise with a lipoma? This bruise has never healed and been there about 4-5 years. It started as tiny dot and now less than a penny. The bruise here is at the edge of a lipoma under the skin and the bruise is just right side of the spine. Lipoma is 6cm on MRI.

2nd, I believe this is an episacral lipoma and it started on the iliac crest (2007) of hip bone and slowly grew bigger and slowly moved towards the middle part of back (spine) and is between the end of lumbar vertebrae and connected to the sacrum. I have pain on right side of spine that radiates up from low back/sacrum up to my upper back into my right shoulder blade. There is a nickname for this lipoma: back mouse.

It is hard to get answers but Im hoping someone with this type of lipoma could share experiences. Just concerned if this is easy to remove or could it have an attachment to the spinal cord that will need a specialist…

Thanks.
