LPT: Use an Aerogarden to keep food fresh

Post Body

If you have an old aerogarden around, literally just use it to keep lettuce or herbs from the grocery store fresh for way longer.

Hydroponic lettuce, green onions, herbs, anything with the roots or even just the stem still attached. It basically keeps it fresh forever until the plants natural life cycle ends, and it continues to grow so you can keep harvesting it.

Growing the pods is frankly too expensive and takes too long when you could be using it to just reduce your normal food waste.

This is especially helpful for small households where it can be tough to use up all of an ingredient before it goes off.
