Last night I got the number of someone I was really attracted too and I’m fairly pumped about it.

I was going to a party with some friends and they were meeting their friends there. The person, let’s call em Elle, was the first one to say hi and I had kind of that “woah” moment when I looked at them. They seemed really nice and fairly level-headed off the bat, invited a mutual friend and I to go hangout and smoke in their car. I got shotgun and we barely chatted, and I’m not a heavy smoker so I left. Well the party was loud as shit and I forgot earbuds, so I go back and I’m close to freaking out because it’s loud as hell, I can’t find my friend who invited me and I really don’t know anyone there. So I end up just sitting on a stump by a walkway and watching YouTube. Then this guy my friend knows, let’s go with Klein, was walking by and had this drunk girl walking with him and she kind of came on a little hard to me. He was looking for her friend group and was wrangling people and she kept making excuses to be where I was so I offered to watch/talk to her while he was running around. Classic drunk girl stuff happened, I didn’t mind it really, it was flattering: “I love your energy,” “I think you’re great,” “can I put my arm around you?” Blahblahblah. I’m just like “yeah sure that’s fine, thanks, you don’t know me, but thank you.” Klein comes back. She seems bummed to leave but her friends are there and I wasn’t too interested in getting to know someone while they’re struggling to stand up straight, ya know? So they walk off and I stay there for a while. I’m debating leaving, but I don’t want to ditch my friend, but she’s with her other friends and do I really want to go home? I’m thinking about all the ways I could leave and blah blah blah. Klein walks back over and tells me that everyone is over by the parking lot so I walk over with him. There’s an issue with lost things so people are a little high stressed and I see Elle walking back to their car so I go catch up with them and we start talking. Klein comes over and starts asking if they’re alright and just kind of talking to talk and I hear them mention to him that they had a boyfriend. To be completely honest I debated just walking away with Klein after that, but I decided that I’m not that shallow and still wanted to talk to them regardless. Even if it did hurt a little tiny bit. So we keep talking. They invite me to sit in their car while they call their boyfriend and I do because it’s chilly and i wanted to talk to them more. They were gone for a little while. But they came back and changed to into, apparently, their favorite pants to get more comfortable. Then the day in the front seat, laid the seat down and sat against the steaming wheel to talk to me. I was so happy they were letting me chat with them more. And happy that their might be a possibility they liked talking to me. More talking and they bring up that they’re polygamous. I freak out cause I’m starting to settle into the fact that I’m really starting to like this person. I don’t say anything about it, cause I’m trying to read the room pretty heavily and I also don’t really care to know about it in depth. We start talking about people and how we met them and that we have a really funny way of both knowing a person at the party. Eventually I asked if I can ask them a bit of a personal question, they oblige, and I ask how their open relationship works. They tell me they don’t do three ways and their boyfriend knows everything. And I just said that was cool and they started gushing about their boyfriend a little, I thought it was pretty cute. We kept talking,time is really ticking away and I decide to leave because I desperately needed to pee and they said they were getting tired and I use those as excuses to end the convo. I ask if they’d want to hangout and I said yeah and they go to take my number down but they get distracted by something and I remind them what they’re doing after they asked. While they take my number down I decide to inject my actual thoughts, “and by ‘hangout’ I mean ‘go out,’ if you’d be into that.” They say yes and I’m elated. They ask how to spell my name, they shoot me a text and say they’ll keep in touch and do a little fist pump in the air thing after. Which is great, cause they’re excited to go out with me? Amazing. We say we’ll see each other when we see each other and I leave to catch my Uber.

So pumped to see them. I hope things actually work out. Not into a relationship, but I am horny out of my mind and we seemed to have had decent chemistry, we talked for almost 2 hours. And the best part is? They think I’m funny😩☺️
