Why are LaTeX text documents less wide than Typst documents when using letterpaper size for both?

Post Body

I have two documents that use the same paper size (lettersize paper), and LaTeX seems to have less space from the left and white sections of the paper used compared to typst. Why is this? How can I make it so that it is the same size as typst? I like how Typst uses more of the paper space. Both docs use the same font size and font.
