It is so, sooo much more useful to own a phone that has both a fingerprint reader and face unlock. Like, sometimes I'm in a position where face unlocking makes it easier to get to my stuff, and other times I have only one hand free, and so a fingerprint reader is more helpful.

Right, so I understand there's no hardware for that good-good face unlock, but couldn't a 2D face unlock theoretically work if LG really wanted to give us one on the V60?

Or couldn't nerds smarter than me find some way to add a 2D face unlock to our phones?

(EDIT) I see that my post has lured defensive cry babies. Look, y'all, I don't care if you find the fingerprint scanner good enough (or bad enough for that matter), I'm trying to understand if a non-depth sensing, 2D face unlock could be added to the phone via an app or perhaps a phone update.
