My aunt died last week due to Covid. My siblings, my mom, and I are out of state so we weren’t able to make it back to our hometown for her funeral due to the state still being on lockdown. Technically it wasn’t a funeral (just a viewing), but I’m still so upset.
When the quarantine started and my college closed in early March, my aunt called me to ask where I would be staying. In late February she called several times a week to help with her math homework. She was going back to school to get her degree. I was so frustrated helping her at times but I would do anything to have that back.
She had 13 grandchildren. All of them my cousins that are still so young and unable to grow up with her.
I’m gonna miss her so much.
