Some questions about Wranglers
Post Body

Hey guys, so I've been looking for a car for a while, and I think I've decided on a Wrangler. I'm 15 right now, I turn 16 in January and get my license in June, but I wanted to get a car earlier to get used to driving it and potentially do some mods/maintenance and what not. My parents are giving me a $10,000 budget, and when I get a job (hopefully starting in a month, I'll have to pay for my gas. I'm not super picky on what year it is, as long as it doesn't have ridiculously high miles and was well taken care of. So to ask a few questions:

How long can I expect a Jeep to last? How old, how many miles, etc.

How good/ bad is gas mileage? I would prefer a 6 cylinder automatic, as I've never driven a manual but I would be willing to learn. Is there a real advantage for the 4 cyl over the 6 cyl?

How costly is the maintenance compared to other cars? Are there any years to stay away from, or any to specifically look for? I don't plan on doing any ridiculous off-roading, but the occasional mudding might occur. Is there anything I can do to make sure I don't screw anything up while mudding?

Lifted vs Non-lifted: Is there anything to this besides personal preference? What are the best lifts to use, or should I look for a pre-lifted one?

If you have any questions for me just ask, thanks in advance guys.
