I know it’s not your typical “real” jeep. But my wife really wants to buy a 2024 jeep compass latitude. Compared to what we’re use to driving (me a 95 Camry that just rolled over 340k miles) (her a 21 Malibu Lt with around 80k miles) the Malibu recently started giving her some issues, feels like the trans is slipping, doesn’t want to go into park without having to fight the shifter for 5 minutes etc. dealership wants to sell her the jeep for 27k otd. 6,500$ off sticker with rebates and her first responder discount. They told her that they will give her payoff for her mailbu which is 13,500$ and honestly it only books for 13k so I don’t find it to be a bad deal. We’ve never owned a jeep of any kind before. Would this be a good vehicle for her? She takes great care of her vehicles in every aspect. She drives 50 miles one way to work 5 days a week so she will be putting a lot of miles rather quickly on the vehicle. I know it has the 2.0L turbo motor in it. I guess I’m just wanting some pros and cons on the vehicle from people that know more than me about them. Thanks.
