We are in the final stages of reflooring our dining room, kitchen, nook and two entry ways with tile. This has been a huge DIY project and finally FINALLY all that's left is to grout the tile.
Last weekend my MIL took our daughter for 2 nights so we could lay down tile and it was super helpful! Kiddo had a great time, we got a lot done, everyone was happy. MIL had some revelations about how to manage the kiddo, which I've tried to tell her previously, but hey, first hand experiences, right?
Anyway, MIL insisted on helping us finish the project this weekend. SIL and her husband are also helping us again. All of which, I feel I need to make mention, is INCREDIBLY awesome of them. I'm truly thankful and appreciative. I'm 38 weeks pregnant, I'm not able to spend a lot of time grouting right now so DH has taken the brunt of the workload.
But omg... omg.... We're trying to get grouting done in an assembly line kind of process. And there is a technique to doing the grouting, otherwise you get major grout haze that you have to remove with an acid wash. And MIL is doing it ALL WRONG.
I'm to the point where I just want to lock myself in the bedroom and fold laundry, so I don't see it. It's totally BEC, save me!
