Retainer broke and I feel like I’ve lost a lot of progress… advice?

Hello fellow Invisaligners! I’m having a frustrating situation and wanted to get the perspective of the community.

I finished Invisalign back in 2020. I have been wearing my retainers religiously since then. A couple months ago, my top retainer broke into pieces on a Friday night (I couldn’t put the individual sections in as a temporary measure - it was too broken). I called my ortho first thing Monday morning and they weren’t able to get me in until the following Friday. By that point, it was a whole week without wearing my top retainer. When I got there, they explained that they need to make the new retainers based off how my teeth were that day - not how they previously were.

I didn’t think one week would make such a difference, but I’ve been wearing the new retainer for over a month now and my bite just doesn’t feel how it once did. My bottom teeth are pressing uncomfortably against my front teeth, likely because one of the top teeth started drifting backwards again. I’m guessing going through Invisalign again is my only option, but it’s hard for me to rationalize spending thousands just to fix what amounts to a week of movement. I am calling my ortho when they open on Monday, but if anyone has any advice or experience to share in the meantime, I really appreciate it!
