So little backstory. Have never had my own car and god blessed me with a great job and ive been working there for about a year now and saved up enough to go buy myself a new 2023 GMC Sierra Elevation. I bought is on Friday and it got hit by some guy on the following monday. I was making a left on a solid green and he ran the red light. So he hit me pretty hard all airbags deployed im hurt so is my passenger. Now the damage was not horrible, it was on the front left side was caved in from the bottom, from the looks nothing happened to the engine but it was not going in gear. Now he was put at fault on the scene the officer gave him the ticket. Now im lawyered up filing a claim but what should i expect going foward ? Like am i gonna get paid out for the repairs or even if the vehicle is a total loss would his insurance pay out everything because the car only had 700 miles on it. But yes if someone has been in my situation please just give me some heads up on what to expect thank you
