Soul Weaver Guide: For Hunters
Post Body

Hey! Just decided I’d make a quick and easy guide for my former main, Soul Weaver (AKA Spider Lady). For those hunters who still use her, and maybe a new upcoming SW main who wants to buy her (trust me, if you’re considering buying her, do it, she can be a nightmare when played properly and is a purchase you’ll never regret). I probably lost one in every 20 matches with her, which is very few IMO. So, without further ado, let’s go.

Starting ability: Teleport

Early Game:

1. Scout the map

If you haven’t memorised the map already, while looking for survivors, try and be aware of your surroundings. Look for chairs and ciphers with few entrances and closed spaces, this will help you a lot in the future. You can use these places to place webs and easily lead the survivors into a trap. If you chair a survivor and place webs around every possible entrance, then if any survivor wants to rescue you will IMMEDIATELY know, because webs give you the location of the survivor, and they don’t despawn until they touch it (this is great because you can limit the escape routes of survivors and if they ever cross them, their positions will be revealed) and you can teleport to either terror shock them or put the survivor back in the chair.

2. Gain presence and use the throwing web

Gain enough presence to get the throwing web, these webs take 1/4 of the health of a survivor. A very useful tip is, always make sure to at least make contact with one ball before hitting the survivor. When you combo this, the survivor will have 3/4ths of their health taken away, and then all you have to do is throw another ball and voilá, you have downed a survivor. This is specially helpful when they’re far away and not paying attention behind them, the web totally takes then by surprise and they don’t even know what hit them.

Late Game:

1. Place webs, but conserve your thread holding

Thread Holding is how much web you have, and it goes up to 200. Placing a web costs 20 and throwing one I think costs a bit less, about 10 or 15. By the late game you want to place webs, because these will give you a speed boost when you cross them. When you encounter a survivor, those webs you placed previously will be your saviour and help you get to the survivor quicker.

General Tips:

• If a survivor is kiting and you’re close to them, you can try and put a web in the exit they’re going through. This will slow them down, and you’ll have a better chance of catching them. Every thread you stack on them, the slower they’ll be.

• When chasing a survivor, don’t be afraid to use webs to boost yourself. This not only boosts your speed but also boosts your attack recovery and pallet destruction, so it’s a general speed advantage you have, exploit it to your convenience.

• Use your throwing balls every chance you get, they may not do much but before you realise they’ll have given you a great advantage when chasing a survivor.

I hope this helped all of you, let me know if you want another tip, I became really good with SW and just thought I’d give what I know to the hunters out there if they plan on using her. Thanks for reading :)
