The case worker called me on Tuesday saying they havenāt been able to reach me because they āwere calling a previous numberā. The only other number I have on file is my fatherās and heās visually impaired. I checked my fathers phone and he has zero missed phone calls and zero voicemails. So the case worker is not being honest.
This is for our annual reassessment. He was wanting to come by without any notice that same morning (this past Tuesday) and I told him we were unavailable due to a doctors appointment that we were currently at. He was adamant about dropping by saying āit will be very quickā but I told him that was not an appropriate time.
So he rescheduled my father and I for today between the hours of 11-1pm. We have another doctor appointment today at 2pm.
Itās now 1:15 and he never showed up. He never called us to let us know whether or not he wasnāt coming at all or if heās running super late.
This is a doctorās appointment that we canāt reschedule for. Itās crucial we go & itāll take us 30min in traffic to get there. So we have to leave home now.
This isnāt right or fair. The social worker was very pushy about dropping in on us unexpectedly the same morning he decided to call & once he rescheduled us for today at a specific time , he never showed up or called us to let us know he wasnāt coming.
Who can I complain to? Im currently on hold for the customer service line to tell them that he never showed up. I donāt want them thinking that I was never available & it somehow gives them a reason to discontinue our IHSS provider services..
Iām my fatherās IHSS provider and he is the recipient.
