Stopped taking azathioprine in favour of cannabis
Post Body

I've been suffering from UC since 2013 and up until recently it's been managed well with azathioprine (125mg daily) but I had noticed the side affects, most notably the inability to eat anything substantial even if I am starving.

I have been smoking cannabis alongside my medication for a year now and decided I was going to try to get off the azathioprine in favour of cannabis. Now, usually I can't go one day without my meds, I feel so crappy that I don't leave the house and I'm constantly rushing to the toilet. But this time it was different, I almost completely forgot about my meds and the fact I even have this disease. The abdominal pain was gone and I felt well enough to go for a walk (something I can't do very often due to pain and discomfort). My appetite returned with vengance and I ate a kilo of biltong in 2 days.

Now I'm not saying everyone should do this because it might not be as effective for you as it is for me but just know that there is a plant that can really help you even if you take it alongside meds.
