A quick question about taxes. I'm going over my 2022 taxes (2021 calendar year earnings) as I had to file for an extension and the deadline is coming up.

I'm noticing on many of my 2021 W2's that many times there is nothing for federal income tax withheld.

Now 2021 we were still coming back online after covid, so in some cases I may have fallen below the threshold, but when I see a W2 for $1500 with $0 federal taxes withheld it makes me very nervous.

I always put the correct amount of withholdings, etc. but I keep seeing 0's on many W2's. Is this fairly normal, or do I need to start contacting employers?

Any help is much appreciated, I know this was the year that many brothers and sisters who normally receive returns actually owed, so I'm starting to get a bit freaked out!
