MPG way higher than it was. I’m confused

I’ve only had my Tucson for about two weeks. At first my trip MPG would normally stay between 26-30 driving back and forth to work. This afternoon after getting home I decided to take the family out for ice cream and after only driving a mile or two I looked at my trip MPG and it was at 36! Then a little while later I went to go get gas a few miles from my house and my trip MPG was all the way up at 39. I wouldn’t be mad if that was my real numbers but I hve a feeling it’s not. Has anyone else had this? Is it a glitch in the electronics that needs to be fixed?
