Hello everyone, my fiance and I are going to be traveling to Trinidad, well just north of Trinidad, in the middle of March. I was hoping to get some local intel on things to do while we're in Humboldt Co and Del Norte Co. Anything we should watch out for or avoid as well would be greatly appreciated.
We love the outdoors, our main goal is to come and see the redwood national forest and kick rocks at the beaches. I also plan to bring a fly rod for fishing surf and maybe a few of the rivers if there is time. It's tough to find things online because apparently most of the internet stops at San Francisco when you Google "things to do in northern California" and ignores the final 1/3 of the state. Pretty much open to whatever.
What places are good for takeout? Patio drinking? Wineries? Tours? Quirky roadside attractions? Any underappreciated areas you'd suggest?
I know these times are sensitive and maybe you don't encourage travel but we haven't traveled in over a year now. Still don't go out to eat. Very aware of everything. And we even have at home tests we plan to take before we leave.
Thank you for your time. We can't wait to visit!
