Why is Aemond unmarried at this point in the story?

Post Body

As far as I can recall, Aemond’s marriage plans have not been discussed with any severity on the show, and I am struggling to think of a reason why he is still unmarried as of Season 2, Episode 5. To be honest, I haven’t read Fire & Blood since it came out, but I don’t remember this being mentioned there either. Yes, Aemond is the second son of course, but seeing that he is now next in line for the throne after the murder of Jaehaerys II, and currently King Regent, wouldn’t the Green Council want to get him hitched as soon as possible?

He needs an heir especially badly now that he is pretty much the MVP of the Greens at this point, because he really could die at any moment on the back of Granny Vhagar. His marriage could even secure an alliance to a House that would otherwise be against/neutral to the Greens (Tully, or the Martells for example).

Additional question: If you were Aemond (or Alicent, or Cole) which House would you want Aemond to marry into at the moment?

EDIT: How did I forget the Baratheon girl?! My b.
