Pushy trainer
Post Body

I am temporarily boarding at a barn while I wait to be able to move into my own place with my mare. The barn owner also hangs her shingle as natural horsemanship trainer and tonight she texted me offering help with ground manners for my mare who she said is very pushy on the ground.

I'm a little annoyed at the whole thing, mainly because at my previous barn before I moved, I as been doing once a week clinics for groundwork and there was significant improvement and I was getting excellent results when I handled my mare. She can test her limits but once you correct her she minds her manners quite nicely. She has manners, but if she thinks she can walk over you, she does.

Mare is 9 years old, half Friesian, quarter Appaloosa, quarter Percheron. She's a big girl.

I have things I want a trainer for, but I don't want to use this lady. How do I tell her to bugger off (nicely)?
