Filling growler vs mini keg

I’ve recently got the SPT BD-0538A Mini Kegerator and had a few questions.
The only brewery near me fills growlers. Is it the same process to fill a mini keg?
Can I fill the mini keg with any beer of my choice, like Coors Light, Modelo, Corona?
What is the process of filling a mini keg?
I’m not a home brewer and don’t know anything about it but I got it from my in-laws and thought it’d be pretty simple to use but it doesn’t seem that way lol please help!
