Daisy chain E243D from MacBook Pro

Hi all, so I have a E243D monitor from work and have since added an E24 (via display port) as a Daisy chain.
Question is how can I get my MacBook Pro 2017 to use both as extended desktop? I can get both displays to duplicate, not extended desktop. I say that, but it appeared as an extended desktop once and never again.
Please help someone
