I’ve been a Game Grumps fan for about 5 years and found myself watching Supermega. Was disappointed when I watched the Nickisnotgreen video about what happened at their workplace. Long story short one person working with them and staying at their office was assaulted by someone else working with them. They were told about this later and didn’t handle the situation very well.
But then the whole thing turns into a cancel Supermega party around grievances of a former employee and personal miscommunications. They even get accused of making light of their friend and former collaborator (Daniel) killing themself.
Nickisnotgreen makes another video, kind of addresses a few things he got wrong but is friends with one of the accusers so mostly just doubles down and admits he’s biased.
The whole thing hits the guys pretty hard, they lose a lot of subs and Patreon members and now they may or may not ever return to content creation. They admit they didn’t handle the initial SA allegations at all well but the rest is mostly BS interpersonal drama.
The reason I bring this up here is there have been a few posts on the Supermega subreddit where Destiny has commented on the situation and I think it’s kind of sad it’s that guy sticking up for SM when Hasan has actually collaborated with them. Maybe he feels torn from working with Nick as well or maybe he just wants nothing to do with creator drama or going anywhere near even a mishandling of sexual assault but I think I would be good to have someone who isn’t Destiny speak a bit of sense about the situation.
