I am looking for some sort of scanner to pick up some ham bands to listen to. I'm getting interested in amateur radio and studying to take my test in the future, but before I get my licence I would like to get a scanner to listen to get a feel for how things are. I'm not too sure what kind of scanner I need, but I'm looking for something not really expensive just something to pick up a few frequencies.
