It hasn't been a year since i got my motorcycle. I've been in "almost" situations that made me more aware. Motorcycles often do lane-filtering; albeit, the wrong way (most of the time) if done properly and safely, can help decongest traffic.
However, i have poor depth perception so i often don't squeeze in between cars due to lack of confidence and the said issue. I'm aware of my skills and my limits but whenever i don't pass by the cars, despite the space being big enough to safely do so- i feel that i am somehow hindering those in 4-wheels.
Do 4-wheel drivers expect all motorcyclists to lane-filter? or am i being too harsh on myself?
As someone who drives a 2-wheel vehicle, occupying the lane as if my vehicle was a car makes me feel bad.
Would you prefer it if riders didn't lane-filter at all or the opposite?
edit: no, i don't stop in traffic in between cars like their left and/or right. i stop in front of a car and behind one like how an actual car would be
