I teach guitar and recently started teaching a very autistic child. He is very young, id assume elementary years, and has trouble with the most basic concepts. I dont dislike him I am just trying to find a way to convey the info to him. For example of how bad it is, the first lesson we had I couldnt get him to understand a single concept. I couldn't get him to pluck the strings right, to fret any note, or really anything. He kinda just brushes the strings to make noise and says random thoughts hes having. What are some ways I can teach guitar to this kid? Again its pretty bad, after a 30 minute lesson he didnt grasp a single concept. His dad also seems pretty passionate about him learning and is even wanting me to teach him 2 lessons a week.
