Even, though its a meme to ask peoples and guilds back story, <Hammer & Leaf> has had one thats been around for a long time. I think it be nice to share with the community guilds backstories and maybe focus on the R.P aspect of the community. Here is ours! Enjoy! :P Also We are always Recruiting :p

During the tumultuous era of the Third War, there were many events that dominated the annals of history, but a multitude more that would seem to be forgotten and go unrecorded – such is the origins of the Hammer & Leaf guild. It was one of that embodied innovation, adventure, and spirit. Our founder was the High Elf Travisil Silver-Leaf who was well studied in arcane magic, with a knack for engineering. He observed with keen interest the Dwarves’ and Gnomes’ ingenuity as they made their machinations of war and technological breakthroughs, and to say the least Silver-Leaf was impressed with their work. He traveled from Silvermoon to Ironforge, seeking out the lead engineer Bjorn Iron-Hammer. Iron-Hammer was a stout dwarf, and remarkably opened-minded, hearing out the Elf despite the dire times and intense demand upon the Dwarven engineers.They two quickly became friends and formed a guild where they could share their core values with those of like minds: Ingenuity, strength, honor, and the pursuit of knowledge. They recruited members and were soon a proud team of heroes, scoundrels, and adventures. Supplies were sparse during the War, and the two founders soon called upon the brave souls of Hammer & Leaf to find certain arcane artifacts hidden in the world. These artifacts were studied and believed to be useful as the Third War escalated. Soon came the day where the two engineers were to test the results of the most ambitious project of the guild yet: an airship powered by purely by arcane magic, synthesizing the expertise of both Silver-Leaf and Iron-Hammer. However, the day that should have marked the guild’s greatest triumph instead became its darkest tragedy.he testing of the airship was one that required the entire Hammer & Leaf guild, who manned the ship on its first planned voyage. However, word of the powerful weapon was leaked, and enemies of the Alliance quickly grew cautious of the repercussions of its success.
The airship was sabotaged by infiltrators, causing a massive explosion that destroyed the ship and almost entirely wiped out the guild in one fell swoop. Thankfully, however, two young officers had survived – Saruka the Night Elf, and Glythic the human – who vowed to not let the guild be wiped out by its tragedy. The two were heavily wounded, and slowly trained themselves as they recuperated, strengthened by the need to honor their former comrades and friends. Hammer & Leaf was reformed with the goal to end the War, and to stop any threat that would endanger all of Azeroth. Since then the guild has surpassed its former glory, growing even larger than it had during the War and is seeking more able bodied adventurers to take up the cause. In these dark times, they are the protectors of Azeroth.
