I always thought that the 1MW on each wound roll of 6 was an underrated ability, but now that I made an app spit out some numbers I'm convinced he should be featured more often. I compared him and 10 Paladins (540pts) against Draigo and 10 Brotherhood Terminators (545pts) vs various targets from diverse resilience brackets. This test has obvious limits (just melee, invulns cap the titansword AP disproportionally, charge chance isn't incorporated to name a few), but it is nontheless interesting to see some direct comparisons.

The average damage values are the most representative of the whole unit's combined damage output. There the paladins with stern slightly outperform the termis with draigo more often than not. It is only with high toughness targets lacking invulns where draigo delivers significantly more damage output (see castellan data especially) while the terminator squad with lethal hits still performs worse than the paladin squad with stern's buff.
