Hi friends, My girlfriend loves the show and loves baking/cooking. I am hosting a surprise birthday party with all of her/our friends, and want to recreate a mini bake off.
There will be about 12 people and 1 medium size kitchen fully kitted with appliances and cooking tools. I suspect people can bring some additional cookware as needed, not sure what will be constrained except we only have 1 oven.
We'll form teams to make a few things, and have her be the judge (or if she wants to bake too, we'll all vote or something).
I'd like the cooking to be live and together, limited prep (more fun/chaos).
I'd have each make: - grilled cheese & tomato soup - cake (too hard? maybe I pre make a dozen cake slabs and people only shape and decorate?)
Trying to keep it simple, but we have some competitive people and expert bakers, also noobs.
Any ideas or suggestions for this concept? Better things to bake? Anything to watch out for?
Thanks!
