And why I think it's super important that Disney tries to fix things. Even if they don't rehire him, Disney will look like fools if they don't keep a good relationship with Gunn. Not only will this affect Guardians of the Galaxy but think about how this will impact their relationship with other directors. Yes, Disney owns 40% of the media but that doesn't automatically mean that every single director wants to work for them and if they don't treat Gunn good, that could come back to bite them in the butt.
The thing about Hollywood is that relationships can be extremely important and if Disney continues down this root, it might not be a good thing for them. I mean their has been a massive backlash from not just directors but actors and actresses too. There are going to be people who won't want to work with Disney because it might be too stressful. At the drop of a hat, Disney could fire you for a tweet you made about black people when you were 12.
I might be rambling a bit but do you see what I mean? Like this could affect how directors and actors see them.
