お久しぶりです,
How has everybody been keeping? I hope you've all been ok?
Today is my fourth attempt requesting for Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Ok... Let's do this!
So, why do I really want/need this game?
I've made a few posts outlining some of the things I love about the Yakuza series. From the well-written characters and plot to the beautiful, crazy, stylish, tragic, open world brimming with life. There's never a dull moment and you can always find something to do, whether it's befriending an NPC, completing substories, or multitudes of mini-games. What I did not mention though was the fact that Yakuza: Like a Dragon seems to have several brand new features that look extremely exciting. For starters, you can summon various people and animals using your telephone, kind of like a stand or a persona. There's also a mechanic called Life Experience that Ichiban Kasuga needs to nurture throughout the gameplay, as it would boost his stats as he battles across various dungeons. Also, you can go-kart, and play a traditional movie theatre minigame too, where you have to fight to stay awake!! Ichiban Kasuga seems like such an intriguing character from what I've seen in trailers, and I'm excited to see his journey into becoming a full-fledged Yakuza member, and the people he and his team meet along the way.
Why are you having trouble affording it? Why can’t you just buy it if you love it so much?
As mentioned in my previous posts, this is my current reality. Me and my partner are saving up for a place to live together, our marriage, and our visa (expiring VERY soon) after our work program. Our work program ends in August 2021, but our current visa expires in April 2020. We’ve had a setback where we had to lend an emergency portion of our savings to my immediate family who is unable to work at present. I have to travel through various buses and train with my partner to the bigger cities (since we can't drive) in Japan to complete visa/marriage arrangements and traveling fees takes up a decent amount of our salary, and sets us back further. We are struggling financially, and have been very stressed of late with planning everything out. This time of the year I tend to also feel especially low... as it is the anniversary of my brother's passing, and that it's been 3 years since I last saw my immediate family face to face since I accepted the work program based in Japan.
Here’s my Steam ID! If you ever wanna game or chat feel free to chat with me or add me on steam! Me and my partner share a single laptop, so we take turns to game and doing work on there when we're not teaching students at school. I won't be requesting games for quite a while once I finish requesting for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, since I'll be primarily focused on completing the game, life, and also... I'd like to give others opportunities to request and get a game/games they’ve always wanted.
I promise to pay this forward one day if someone ever gifts me the game (when that happens, I'll make sure it's to the same price as this game)! I cannot do this until I am financially stable though... but consider this a promise that will be upheld. This sub can hold me accountable should someone gift me this title!
On a final note... I'd like you to check out ArcadeTheory if you have spare time!
