Hey again,
How's everyone been? I hope safe and healthy despite these weird times.
Today, I've decided to write out my second attempt requesting for Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
So, why this game?
Yakuza series as a whole is absolutely amazing. It has a compelling and captivating story with excellently written characters, and it does an amazing job at tugging the heartstrings. Not only this, but it has a lot of fun, wacky and wild moments in game, which are mostly found in side quests or the mini games that are offered within each title (and there are many).
Like A Dragon is the newest to the series, and has an additional component in game that was not there in previous titles, which is the turn based RPG mechanics. As someone who absolutely adores playing RPG games, I know for a fact that I'll be able to put in the hours to find out the story behind Like A Dragon, and each character that resides in it. I've heard the game ticks all boxes for storytelling, music, dense atmosphere, memorable characters, amazing sense of humor and somehow is even better than Yakuza 0 (which I'm playing at present and absolutely adore), which has made me all kinds of excited.
I've wanted to play this game for a really long time, and I honestly can't remember when a game fascinated me in so many ways over the past few years. Or made me burst out laughing!
So then, why are you having trouble affording it? Why can’t you just buy it if you love it so much?
As mentioned in my previous post, the reality of my situation is this. Me and my partner are saving up for a place to live together, our marriage and our visa after our work program, which will end on August 2021. We’ve had a setback where we had to lend an emergency portion of our savings to my immediate family who are unable to work at present. As I mentioned in the past post, they have all contracted the virus, but thankfully nobody has gotten sick to the extent of hospitalisation. They also seem to be recovering too physically (thank goodness).
Here’s my Steam ID! I think after requesting for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, I won't be requesting games for quite a while, because I also want to give others the opportunity to request and get a game / games they’ve always wanted.
I would also like to also promise to pay this forward one day if someone ever gifts me the game (and it'll be to the same price as this game)! I just need to get more financially stable first but consider this a promise I will uphold. Please hold me accountable for this should I ever get gifted Yakuza!
Feel free to add me on steam and maybe we can play a game together at some point?
On a final note... check out ArcadeTheory! We’re a dedicated team that review various games and give you the lowdown on what games are cool and hip to play 😎 We're all members from this subreddit, and our aim's to help you decide whether or not you should pick up a title that's piqued your interest!
Thanks for reading, stay safe and stay gucci everybody.
