DYNASTY WARRIORS 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition

Dynasty Warriors 8 is a hack-and-slash action game where the majority of the enemies are mooks that are easily disposed of by the player-controlled character. While I have never played a Dynasty Warriors game before, I have enjoyed playing games by the same developer which uses the same sort of gameplay (Warriors Orochi and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam).

The main reason being that I want to play this game is because I am a fan of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms historical novel and that this is the only game pertaining to that on Steam. While I want to play as the officers in the historical battles that took place, especially as Zhang Liao in the battle of Hefei, I am also curious about the "what-if" scenarios of the factions that failed in the goal to reunify China. Most of the factions had absolutely no chance of winning simply due to the geographical positions of the land that they held. For example, Shu was doomed to failure the moment Liu Bei was forced to operate out of the Yi Province.
