Recognizing the growing crisis in Cyprus,
Aware that self-determination should be followed,
Affirming that violence should be avoided at all costs,
HEREBY resolves:
Calls for immediate elections in Cyprus so the will of all Cypriots can be followed;
Supports any meetings between all three factions to promote the cause of peace;
Reinforces the idea that the self-determination of all ethnicities on Cyprus should be respected (whether through greater autonomy or independence);
Condemns any foreign interference in the country while peace negotiations are ongoing;
Agrees that military force should not be used against any Cypriot citizens;
Backs the use of UN peacekeepers and a no-fly zone in Cyprus if the situation demands it.
