So I have an interesting question for all of you today. This morning I got a message on ancestry from a cousin that I had messaged last summer. She is the granddaughter of my great-grandmother's sister, meaning her great-grandparents are my 2x g-grandparents.
Anyways she mentioned that the family had a furniture store somewhere in the Bronx and was hoping I could confirm where it was. I have no clue where it was located but might have an idea. My question is how would I go about in tracking down this building?
I've poked around on the ACRIS search on the NYC.gov site but the oldest record I found was dated for 1969 and I need records for the 1880s.
So my question is, are there any places I can look up the deeds/records of old buildings from the Bronx area and over 100 years ago?
